??? WOOTEN FORM VIRGINIA
The photo above is an unknown Wooten from Surry County Virgina ( abt. 1834-1845)that was emailed to me from a friend who is researching her family roots of the white race of Wootens. I thought it was interesting enough to add to our site since he is a Wooten and from the same area that George Wooten is said to be born. Who knows, he may have been George's Father, Uncle, or distant relative of ours. What you think?
below: are just a few of George & Edith Wooten Grandchildren

COTTON PICK'N WOOTENS
Back in the days when family came back "home" for a visit, the men folks always helped in the fields. The women in the family always help around the house. Now there were some female family members who also went out into the fields. I can remember my grandmother Edith Wooten (wife of George Wooten) would always have my sister, Fannie and I clean the food pantry.I dont know who all is pictured or the year the photo was taked, but I do know that on the far right is Lee Ester Black two sons, James and Lawerence. And "Papa" George Wooten" is right there in the front.
The Pinkney page is growing very fast, so is the Elijah's page...I have found a great new site to display all our photos, plus you can record in your very own voice a description of that photo. The name of the site that i have started is called George and Edith Wooten Family Tree.
